The preceiding year has had its share of terror attacks allover the globe. The fight against terror has turned out to be terror itself and i am thinking that humanity is doing very little to look at this as a social problem rather than political ideology.

there has been a lot of time and effort in this country to politicize terror. It has been used primarily as a tool to gather votes. It would be good if some effort was taken to look at it as a social problem.

With all due respect to the previous answerer, the fact something definitely went berserk on 911 doesn't mean the source won't do it again. The big picture may be something like the New Worl Ord tying in with over-population and a strategy to get US to the point of desperate need of depending on govt in a time of disaster. I must say I can hardly believe it but from the info, I can see this as plausible. Everyone have equal land, cloths, Univ. ID, police state, families separated, and up to 1/3 population put out. Actually the UN is also planning to play a major part.

Everyone is under threat. This is the absurd philosophy that you can fight terrorism with guns. Blood for blood is not a solution. As i already said, globalization has the branches of terrorism. America (Bush) is advocating world peace but in vain. 2007 or 08, its nothing. I think we have to make a habit of copping up with terrorism.

There is still a chance of terrorism occurring, but I certainly don't fear it. Of course, I have the luxury of living in a mid-sized American city which would be about 586th on any terrorist list of possible targets. I think the biggest mistake made by the Bush administration was the way they encouraged Americans to live in fear the last few years, as opposed to encouraging them to have confidence in the administration's ability to protect them. I think they decided fear-mongering was the best way to win the election in 2004, and they hoped it would work in 2006 as well. It's a shame.

Worse than ever, thanks to Bush's self-serving war in Iraq, which even his own intelligence estimates say has created far more terrorists than it has stopped. Let's hope the Dem's can stop this derailed train and save America from Bush's arrogance, errors, and ignorance.

The Bush regime feeds on fear, and breeds fear in the American people to make them look to him for salvation. His lies about Iraq and his failed policies have killed more Americans than did the 9/11 hijackers, to say nothing of the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's who have been tortured and killed to date. Some in the world see him as a worse terrorist than Bin Laden, and therefore see America in the same light. Thank god his power is finally crumbling.

It is a political problem you got Bush changing generals in Iraq when he has no war experience. I`ll tell you whats going on, Bush is keeping the troops in Iraq so the opposing religious group to the Saudi royal family will not have the majority in Iraq.

If we don't we're crazy. It's time to pop our little heads out of the sand and become aware of what's going on in this tiny little world of ours. The polar bears are now on the alert level as their world is melting beneath their paws.... the rain forest is disappearing and it IS the reason we get rain.. and other countries are tired of our arrogance and lack of awareness. We can make the difference. But it's going to take all of us. All being world wide.

Rev. Pat Robertson recently predicted that there would be a major terrorist attack on the US in late 2007. He predicted it would be big like a nuclear bomb, but not necessarily a nuclear bomb.

If by social you mean religious I agree. At least it is religious to them the radical Islamic fundamentalist that is. And if we don't get off our collective politically correct high horse and let our soldiers do their jobs then we will really know what fear is.
