I've always wanted a goose and a hyena :-) It depends on your lifestyle. If you have flexible work hours, a large fenced garden, and are physically active (or at least enjoy walks) then a dog is a great pet and loyal companion. Smaller dogs could be more suited to you if you live in an apartment, as they're easier to take around in busy public places and require less exercise (although just as much attention, time and care). If you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to looking after a pet but still want something cuddly, a cat is a great choice because they're loving but independent and don't need constant care.
If you want a really low-maintenance pet and are not concerned about receiving affection from them, try fish or an aviary of birds (although birds require that you are very considerate of their needs in terms of warmth, environment, foods etc).

It will depend on what charactristic you have. If you're a fun-loving and would like to go out every weekend on a park and I suggest you should consider a dog. If you are a kind of person who likes to stay in the house and just watch TV or do any activities at all without leaving the house I suggest you take a cat or a bird. If you are an adventurer specially if you have the fond of being in the sea (snorkelling, diving, fishing) I suggest you acquire an aquarium and fill it with kind of fishes that you think is worthy of the feeds that you are about to give them. : )

And most importantly, it would help if you consult first your physician, if you have or anyone in your household had an history of allergies related to these animals. Believe me, this is one good consideration. Remember prevention is a good thing.

Hope this one can help you.

Its depends on alot of things....If your willing to spend alot time with a pet , a dog is your best choice. They are very loyal and can be very affectionate, but do require alot of care and attention. If your wanting something with less maintenance I would suggest either fish, which are very relaxing to just sit and watch , or possibly a cat. Cats are very independent and can also be very loving and affectionate. You just to choose a pet that you can enjoy and that you will be able to care for , they require alot of work and patience but the results can be very rewarding. It will definitely become a part of your family. Good Luck in whatever you decide to get.

it depends. If you are allerigic to dander, then you probably don't need to have a pet with hair. Maybe a fish or a bird might be a good pet for you.

I have two cats and they are so sweet and lovable. They are constant entertainment for me. They play and romp around the house, it's fun to watch them! They've both been de-clawed and neutered because they are indoor cats and they never go outside.

Ok, I'll shut up about my cats. lol

Good Luck on choosing a pet for yourself, hun. :-)

Are you a good pet owner????

If not, you better try the electronic pets...

Pet has their own personality, just like human. especially dogs and cats. So it is hard to tell which kind is good or bad.

i would suggest a dog. cats shed alot and can be moody. but it is much easier to find the right pet for you if you like dogs because each breed is defined if you just look it up on the internet or read about it.. thats how i found mine. i have two chihuahuas and they are perfect for me! goodluck

Hamsters are great if you want a small pet that's lots of fun, and low cost. Just clean his cage once a week, give hime clean water every day (A water bottle attached to his cage works best), and just enought food for him to eat each day. There are lots of hamster food types out there. Get a food that is mostly nuts and seeds with very little millet(tiny round seeds); they can't eat these seeds; their just a filler to waste your money. Hamsters just store away any extra food, so if you feed him too much, thats what he will do with it. This can be bad if you feed him fresh fruits and vegetables, because they can rot quickly in his "hidey-hole". I alway fed my hamsters fresh food when I took them out to play, so they finished eating it before I put them back in their cage. Just feed him a small of fresh food and make sure he eats it. If he stores it in his cheeks, just keep him out until he feels like eating it, otherwise he will hide it away when he gets back to his cage. Theres lots of toys and tunnels you can get for your hamster, and even a playpen that they can't get out of!

my opinion is a silky haired terrier. they're cute and cuddly, and they're not that big of a mess (i even heard you can potty-train them!). Try not to get a big dog because they like to poop everywhere and they always are trying to run away. Its kind of mean to own a big dog because they have a cramped living space and nowhere to run most of the time. (unless, of course, you own a ranch or something)
