Anyobody want to give me some free throw shooting routines that you or others use that give you high percentages. I use two different routines and would like some advice for different routines. Just testing out some so I can settle on just one routine to use consistently.

Put your shooting foot even with the basketball hoop. Then, make your forearm level with the basket. Then, bend your knees. Finally, bounce up and shoot. Make sure you have good arc on the ball and this should greatly improve your free throw shooting. This is coming from one of the best shooters in his basketball league. :)

Instead of asking for different routines you should find your own and stick with it. Free throw shooting is all about repitition so as long as you keep the same form and shot for every free throw you will begin to feel how to shoot the free throws every time. I don't even look at the basket until i'm about to shoot the ball, I just dribble a few times looking a little forward towards the ground and look up and shoot the ball.

As the people above me said. Free throws are all about repetition. So if your comftable with a form of shooting just practise that free throw untill your arms feel like they have dropped off! Set yourself goals like how many you can get out of 10 and if you dont make more then 8 you have to do suicide runs. Somthing like that would work really well, I did this with lay ups and shooting I was tired from it but it paid off in matches to come. Also try to set your mind as if it was a real game to re live the mental enviroment you undergo in free throws in a game. Improve yourself mentaly because you may be able to shoot well but when it comes to your head telling you otherwise oops you just bricked the shot. Anyway hope my advice helped
