You have to either rent or buy a tool called a plumbing snake and run the snake down the toilet till the clog is cleared . The fact that water comes up in your sink and shower means that the clog is further down the line as all your fixtures eventually join up in to one drain line. You may be able to clear the line with a plumbing snake from a hardware store which usually runs about $15 to $30 . If it doesn't reach the clog then you will have to either rent a professional quality snake from your local tool rental yard or home center but you must be very careful as it can be a dangerous tool to use if you have never used one before in which case it would be time to call a professional plumbing rooter service.

You have a blockage in the main drain line in the house. This blockage is farther down the line than the sink, tub or toilet, preventing any of them from draining. It is unlikely than plunging any of these will clear the blockage. You can possibly use a smaller snake from the tub overflow to clear the blockage. Do so by removing the screws on the cover above the drain, and insert the snake, a few few feet at a time, with a spinning motion. It is much easier if you get someone to watch the water level to see when it drops. Do not insert the snake directly into the tub drain or it may get stuck.
Are there other fixtures in the house that are stopped up also? If so it is time to call in a plumber. If not, and If you are handy you can try to rent a plumbing snake, from a rental center or a hardware store.
There will usually be a 'cleanout' on the outside of the house. It looks like a large threaded plastic disc with a raised square. It will be on the side of a drain pipe. Remove this and insert the snake, a few feet at a time, using the machine to spin the cable. Have someone yell when the water starts draining, but give it a few more feet just in case. If you put in a significant amount of cable ipull some out and try it again, you may have it in the wrong pipe. Run hot water down the drain when removing the snake to wash off the crud. Use the reverse when removing it. Don't forget to put the cover back on.

you have a blockage in the main pipe from the toilet, sink and tub. Did something fall in the toilet? If not, keep plunging and you may get whatever is blocking the pipe to dislodge and go down-- if this doesn't work- get liquid plumber and pour it in the sink and tub- make sure you take the metal part off or it will ruin it- follow the directions--- do not put it in the toilet--it will not work in there-- if this doesn't unplug your pipes, you will need a plumber or a friend with what is called a "snake" to swirl through the pipes to unclog them
Good luck......I had this happen right before the holidays... what a mess it was.

This means there is a blockage somewhere in the plumbing (pipe).
I suggest you head off to the supermarket near by in the cleaning / toliet section that there is a product (I don't know a popular name in your area) that uses a special active agent that is a type acid to disolve any blockage.
You will need to get some gloves for protection when applying this product. READ the instruction provided as instructed as there is a timing factor involved.
Good luck.

Good answers here, except the one about using drano. It's not good to use caustics in the toilet, especially if you've got water coming up in other areas.

You might be able to fix it with a closet auger, but will probably have to rent a rooter machine.
You've got a very deep clog in your waste pipe between your bathroom and where it discharges to the sewer/septic system.

You might need to go ahead and call a plumber, and they might use a snake to clean out the pipes. Sounds like everything is really backed up! Good Luck, hun.
