My son is 11 months old and I don't have a clue!
I never went into labor and dilated past 3! Didn't feel even one contraction!
I understand you!

When I went in to be induced (two weeks overdue) they gave me the gel and then the IV drip, and put the monitor on my stomach. The nurse thought I was joking when I said I couldn't feel the contractions that were - apparently - happening very strongly. So no, you are not unique. I didn't feel a thing! Then hard labour started ( I certainly felt THAT!) and after 10 contractions, about six minutes apart, I gave birth to a 7 lb 15 oz baby boy. One hour of labour!
I was told that I must have a very high pain tolerence, since I never felt any of the regular contractions. FIne by me! Everyone is different, I'm just glad it was over quickly and my boy is wonderful.
Cheers,
Samlet

When I had my first child at just 18 I had no labor pain at all. I was also told by nurses that I was having contractions and I was blissfully unaware. Second child wasn't to be the same and she nearly killed me!!!!!!
I think you should go into hospital. You may have a touch of gastro or a virus but you should be put on a monitor to make sure you aren't in labor this early.

Yes! I was given a shot of Demerol when I went to the hospital. It wasn't for pain but I couldn't sleep and later on that night I woke up and thought I had to use the bathroom I couldn't but I threw up the food I had ate earlier I knew something was wrong so I went to the hospital and I was 9 centimeters dialated I had my daughter 2 hours later! The pain felt like cramps and the top of my butt was hurting so rubbing it helped alot.

back labor has nothing to do with your back actually--it is the way baby is facing when he/she comes out.
head down & face up is 'back labor'--head down and face down is 'normal' labor
I wasnt sure about the contractions in the beginning--I know the 'real' ones now though-start in your lower back & move around front and all up your belly--it feels like someone is twisting your insides trying to pull them out--plus your entire belly hardens up.
braxton hicks are just like period cramps.
I am due in 19 days and am SOOO very uncomfortable--I cant sit or stand for more than 2 minutes--car rides to the doctor are just killer.
when I sleep I toss and turn all night-I can lay on my side for abouot 7 minutes before I get a leg cramp and have to switch to the other side--plus getting up every hour to use the bathroom-ugh-I am ready for this baby already, lol

Early exertions usually feels like the Braxton-Hicks or fake exertions contractions you're able to already be having--a balling up or tightening for the time of your decrease abdomen or decrease back, or a feeling like menstrual cramps. As exertions proceeds, the contractions get longer and extra suitable. they might experience like the cramps you get with diarrhea or constipation, lasting as much as a minute, yet they may well be distinctive than something you have experienced earlier. your total uterus gets very stressful to touch throughout a contraction, and thoroughly comfortable for the minutes between. In energetic exertions maximum women with out drugs would desire to paintings to maintain themselves calm and concentrated throughout a contraction, and can't carry a classic communication. whilst preterm exertions would be painless, it is amazingly uncommon to be blind to exertions contractions in an entire term being pregnant. some women locate them uncomplicated and tolerable, yet they're frequently extensive wide awake that something is occurring. extra frequently, in my adventure, a commonplace time mom will observe contractions and think of "it is it!" while surely she may well be in early exertions or perhaps having a pretend alarm. for many first time mothers, energetic exertions contractions are enormously intense.

LOL-I have a 4 year old and I actually envy women who know what contractions feel like because I've never experienced them and feel totally left out of conversations women have about contractions. I had to look at the monitor to know when I was supposed to push and I had natural childbirth. Sorry, can't help ya, kiddo...congrats, BTW.
