what do you think of this poem? racists or no? (no i didnt write it)?

Question

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You say that you want to make a change in this country.
How? By protesting everything that we believe in? By trying to change everything that has made this country run fine for centuries?

You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah
You have Cinco de Mayo
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
not to mention a whole month for black history

If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You enjoy the thought of Driver's Licenses for illegals.
We enjoy the thought of people obeying the laws of the land in which they reside. No negotiations.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You call each other "******", but when we call you that, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer shoots a gang member or beats up a drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

We work hard to perserve our history.
You come along and try to re-write it.

We want a safe environment for our families and children.
You want to bring the ghetto to our neighborhoods.

I am white.
I am proud.
I am an American.

You want a white history month? We have 11 of them.

Except, you need to understand the bigger picture that Martin Luther King was great because he pushed Civil Rights for all. Martin Luther King day doesn't mean black pride day, get it? None of these other days are national holidays. Why would you march for your rights when they haven't been violated? Driver's licensed for illegals? Hell no. Who are you talking to? Our driver's license is already suspended and we're driving someone's car we stold anyway, so why would we want illegals having a license? Is that what you think? I haven't seen yellow, brown or orange men going around proudly announcing color lately. It's true, we do have bigger ***** than you, but it's well known and we don't need to advertise it. couple things, you seem like you targeting black people, but you used some mexican celebrations. this is kind of racist, but its kinda true tho. all the white people gonna be like this is the truth all the non whites gonna say its racist, but bob is white and filipino so bobs opinion matters the most, im just kidding. All in all its not a bad poem, and now that i look at it its not racist, its just really one sided and being written black and white.(Again not race, but being viewed black and white, you get my drift)

There seems to be the sterotype of whites dont commit crime or live in the ghetto alot. Its hard to see how good this poem is cause it is extremely bias and completly one sided. This poem rides alot on the world being black and white inwhich it isnt, not like only black and white people, but like all things are yes or no, you get what i mean.

Yes it is extremely racist. It is based on the fact that America is only for white people. And that blacks are ruining American life. And as for the history part, if the person who wrote it knew anything about American history they would know that: The Native Americans were here before anybody,

The people on those three ships that "dicovered" Amercia were outkasts in Europe and they fled.
They killed of the Native Americans with their nasty diseases and in wars.
Then they stole human beings from Africa to work for free!!! They treated these African as less than humans and even went so far as to try to find scientific proof that blacks were genetically inferior to whites.
Many of the cooperations today profited from slave labor.
This country was built on false values, "All men are created equal" my ***. The man that wrote that owned slaves and some of them were his own children!!!
Now I am not anti America, we have come a long way, and now this is a nice Country to live in(if we can get Bush out of office) I'm just saying really know your history!
The poem stated YOU rob US, car jack US, like white people dont commit crimes. So you mean to tell me there are no white robber, car-jackers, murderers, people that drive with no license?!?!?!

I think it's a great piece of literature. One exception; not all car jackers and criminals are non-whites. Sure, the jails are mainly non-whites, but in this context, it makes it seem as if all non-whites are criminals and all whites are law abiding citizens.

Other than that, I love it. What is wrong with announcing that I'm proud to be white? I don't announce it, because it's not an accomplishment I earned, it's the body I was born with; nothing else, so why brag about something I didn't do?

Yes, it's racist. And I'll explain to you why.

White people have never been discriminated against for their skin color. We have never been held down as a majority because of our skin color. Blacks have. To educate people about that, and to ensure it doesn't happen again, we have black history month, etc etc.

Whites do not require these, since we never suffered the same past and the same occurences.

You want a white history month? We have 11 of them.

Now to refute a few of the key points ....

- We enjoy the thought of people obeying the laws .. this is stated in reference to "them" wanting drivers liscencing for illegals. Remember something. Blanket statements are NEVER accurate. I'm sure there are plenty of those with dark skin that support nothing of the kind, and there are plenty of white skinned people who don't agree with the idea of keeping out people who come here for refuge.

- Do you get insulted when someone calls you white trash? Equate that to a white person calling a black person a "*****". The term was used as derogatory, and is still taken as such.

- White people also rob, carjack and shoot.

- Where are they trying to rewrite history? They want the pieces involving them to be ADDED. What's wrong with that?

- Generalizing again about the safe environments.

I realize you say you didn't write it, and I believe that, since I've seen this float around myspace, but the simple fact is that by advertising it, reposting it, etc .. you are adding credence to it, and supporting it.

Edit: Out of curiousity, why be "proud to be white". White is a blanket term used for several nationalities. It's a shade, default color ... that you have no control over whatsoever. Be proud of your nationality or your heritage, but white isn't a nationality OR a heritage.

Probably but I wouldn't worry about it. The media(and their multicultural allies) have been brainwashing us for years to believe "racist" is a bad word. It's not. they sound kind of angry, but they do make a lot of valid points.

Kind of weird I was just telling my sister that it is true, White people are NOT allowed to be proud of their heritage, almost like our country is now embracing reverse predjudice.

I work with many different races, and get along with them, as I judge people by their behavior NOT their skin color or language.
