What can I do myself about a jerk in my automatic trans.?

My car is a 1994 Mazda. It happens only when it goes from 1st to 2nd gear. I can't afford a machanic.

I had a '93 626 that had the same thing, sadly it finally died and was gonna cost $1,200 to fix. There is no easy fix unless you can get a transmisson fluid flush and change and maybe a good inspection of it.

tell the jerk to leave your tranny alone, then take to shop for repair !
