if u want a cheap game system go with the ps2 not the game cube game cube suck really suck along with the wii. i had a ps1 ps2 and now got the ps3 there the best systems goin. ps3 might be a little expencive but it would be the last systen u would ever buy its that good. i had a xbox to it was good but not as good as the ps2. so u should go with either the ps2 or ps3. but if u want to play mario and that just stick with the nitindo or super or n64 not the game cube or wii so that should answer ur question alright.

dude if i where u i'd get the PS2 i have one it has good games i have over 60 game on it and i love all of them it's a good system but wat ever u do dont get a Game Cube all thay have is kiddy games but the first Xbox is not bad but i like the controlers on the PS2 better the PS2 have smaller controlers so it's more comfortable to hold and it's lighter but thay dont have vary good games to me maybe halo 1&2 and Doom 3 but thats all i like on the Xbox so i'd get the PS2 hope i helped a little

it depends on what types of games you want. I like RPGs like Zelda, Mario, and Baulder's gate. I have a gamecube and don't plan on upgrading to the Wii for awhile. If you like war games (call of duty) get the XBox, I have heard nothing good about the PS2 so I wouldn't get it. or you can do what I do, I get the system no one has and then borrow my friend's XBox when I want to play a XBox exclusive game.

Get a Gamecube, the games are way cheaper and most of them are original unlike xbox and ps2 games which all look the same and play the same too.
