As long as her water hasn't broke, try sex. It works two ways, first making her orgasm will make her uterus contract and second, the semen contains prostaglandins that help to soften and dialate the cervix. She can try walking. Most of all, and the hardest to accept is wait on nature to do it's thing. I know the feeling of being anxious to see that bundle, but remember this: it won't last forever and will be over before you know it. Good luck and congrats to you and your wife.

You will hear a million ways to induce labor naturally. Make sure before you try any of them that you check with your wife's doctor.

Intercourse is definitely a good thing if you are able. The semen does help break down the membranes.

Primrose oil capsules placed in the vagina help thin out the cervix. Use one nightly. They are natural and really do help!

If you can stomach it and your doctor approves you can take black cohash capsules.

Walking and light exercise.

People will tell you to take Castor oil. I know it did work for my sister-in-law. But My doctor told me it just caused bowel movements and tastes awful.

I was told to eat pineapple which did not work and I don't know about mushrooms because I personally do not like them.

Sometimes nothing works and you just have to wait for your little one to decide to come out! Best wishes and God Bless!

You could try walking around, dancing (slowly, with lots of hip weaving, to help ease the baby down), and sex. Sexual activity can actually help to induce labor, and has been recommended by midwives and doctors alike for quite a while. The only reason not to is if your doctor has warned against it.

Warm compresses and baths can also help by taking pressure off the abdomen and loosening the muscles there.

Have lots of sex, if her doctor has said it is ok to. Semen actually helps to soften the cervix! Fun way to go for it. Also have her walk around, squat ..lil excercises like that dont overdo it though. I have also heard that mushrooms do the trick...my sis ate a ton of mushrooms when she was 40weeks a few days past and she went into labor the next day.
