Evo's burn clutches all the time if you drive them hard. I know a few ppl with evos and they have fun but hate how there is a lot of maintenance involved. Plus you have to rev the hell out of an evo and make sure its spooled before you get ANY power. That is not the case at all with an sti. I had an 05 sti for four months and sold it because of money issues but i loved it. I read alot before i bought it about which was better and if you get and sti, you wont even think twice. I raced a bunch of stock evos and it was close but mine always had the edge. Plus i think looks on the exterior and interior are much better on the sti. Think about the brands, Subaru is known for reliability and Mitsubishi is known; it least in CT for making crap. Evo's are fast and have great handling out of the box but it just doesn't feel or look as nice as the sti.

Bend Or, 32 married, one kid, 1 speeding ticket in the last 4 years...

Liability only - $40/month
Comprehensive - ~$100/month

You need to provide some details for the number to mean anything. The factors mentioned above (state, age, marital status, driving history) have a HUGE impact on the cost.

Best bet, call your local agent, or go to geiko.com to get a quote that's accurate for you.

You should really contact a few insurance companies to get some quotes. All of our prices that we pay are meaningless because we aren't you. Lots of personal information plays a key role in determining how much you pay.

Your age and gender and marital status matter in this, I would get your VIN and check places like Geico.com and progressive for a better ballpark figure.
I hope you don't have a horrible driving record like "Rense" must have in her answer, that is a lot of money for a car that most people won't even steal.
