I'll say that the NBA Champions will have to be the Dallas Mavericks. Right now they have the best record and looking at them, they are a deep and experienced team. With the Heat having a lot of problems and the departure of Pat Riley, I don't see the Heat making a repeat. They are still the defending western conference champions and are even better this season. As for the MVP there are a bunch of players. But I'll say Gilbert Arenas although I don't like him. You have to give respect to him, he's really given the Wizards a lift and is playing outstanding basketball. Gilbert is showing his ability to score and take over games and is the reason why the Wizards have a good record. If they continue their success, Gilbert should win MVP. Another notable is Carmelo Antohony, but with his absence and involvement in the brawl, it's going to be hard for him to win it.

I'm going to answer this based on the season so far. Championship: The Spurs because they are motivated to prove themselves despite winning 2 of the last 4 championships. Plus Tim D. was TERRIBLE last season and he is on a mission, Tony P. is a better player, Bruce B. still got the defense, and Manu can explode anytime. On the bench you got Michael Finley who can still score and occasionally posterize somebody, then you got "Big Shot" Robert Horry who is supposed to retire after the season so he will want one before he goes, because this would give him 7 rings, which would be towards the top for rings as a player. Coach P also is ready because he saw that the way to win now is to run a little bit and the Spurs are more of a running team than in the past with their Defense still solid.

For MVP, based on the season so far: Gilbert Arenas. He is almost unstoppable at this point. Put up 60 on Kobe who is 1st team all defense every season. He is also making the Wizards better which is more important than anything. They have stopped two huge winning streaks this season, beating Dallas early in the season when they had won like 12 straight then beat Phoenix a couple of weeks ago when they had won like 15 straight. Plus for the month of December, the Wizards probably lost like 2 games or something close to that. But on as a final throw in, for the season, I would think Kobe because he is FINALLY making his teammates better like MJ plus the Lakers are winning.

MVP - Nash; His numbers are better and his team has a better record than the previous two years. Therefore, Nash is the hands down winner right now.

NBA Championship - Someone from the East because the East is a pushover league and whoever represents the East will be well rested and very equal in talent to the West representative. The West representative will be beaten up and worn down going against 3 tough opponents in 7 game series back-to-back-to-back. It happened last year and it will happen again this year.

NBA Championship - Bulls

Recap:
MVP: Steve Nash
NBA Championship: Chicago Bulls

No one can accurately predict the champion until after the All-Star break, and when Shaw returns to the Heat.

Who cares about the MVP, all that matters is the Ring!
