School glue dries up too after sometime and it sticks to the bottle so it's best to keep the cap or lid tightly closed. The same thing happens to super glue as well.

If you leave the cap off the bottle the glue will dry up and stick to the inside.

Some bottles are made of polyethylene and almost nothing will stick to it.

ha ha ,because the bottle is closed from the air ,and it is the drying out process that makes the glue stick ,if you leave the bottle open it will dry in the bottle ,

but you knew that all along

the smooth plastic has no rough surface for the glue to adhere to. most standard glues need rough or porous surfaces to stuck to like paper or wood.

Good question,,lol. My roommate says its because it doesnt set to dry until it hits the air.

it does. but if you keep it sealed up it will all stay wet, and can move around. it only sticks to stuff on the outside because it dries.
