Africa is a continent. Nigeria, Congo Republic Chad, Madagascar, just to name a few, are African nations. We need to "do" in Africa,
not just talk about it. But there are nations much closer that need help too. Take Nicaragua for example. They have been hit hard for more than a decade by mudslides, floods, volcanic eruptions,
poor economy, corrupt tyrannical rule, and poor relations with neighboring Guatemala. Now it seems that Sandinista rule will once again return, to break a broken people. It is hard to realize how good free people have it until you see first hand what poverty and disease really look like.
