The Beatles recorded 183 songs--this number doesn't include Bad Boy, Free As a Bird, or Real Love, as they aren't by the entire group, although they're Lennon compositions.

Currently, Ringo and Paul are alive. John was shot and killed in 1980, George Harrison died in 2001 of cancer.

I believe that Lennon/McCartney wrote a few hundred songs between them and maybe 20-30 songs were added by George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Sir Paul McCartney (Bass) is alive and well. Ringo Starr (Drums) is alive and doing soundtrack work. John Lennon was assasinated in 1980 and George Harrison died of Cancer several years ago.

The album that changed music forever: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

As a band, they have about 200 recorded works. Depends on how deeply you dig into their catalog. (For instance, you can get recordings of never-hits like, "Shiek of araby.")

However, each of the Beatles had a relatively successful solo career afterwards. There is probably another 300 songs from each of the band members as solo artists, and from Paul's band, including Wings.

John and George have gone.

Paul and Ringo are still with us.
