If it's for theatre you will probably have to do an improvisational audition as well as a monologue, which is usually just as important so keep relaxed and just enjoy doing it.

Even if you don't get it, it doesn't mean you're a bad actress but it could be that there isn’t any roles that fit you so don't give up.

It is important that you know your lines and be comfortable with them. If you are doing a monologue and you make a mistake then be comfortable enough to be able to fix it without making it too obvious and another important thing once again is to have fun.

For a monologue I'd recommend reading the script silently and try to get a mental image of how you will be acting it out both verbally and physically then read it out loud and see if you are comfortable doing it as you pictured yourself doing it. Then start memorizing it. Personally I read a couple of lines and learn them by heart then I say the lines I know by heart and read the next couple of lines till I know them by heart then start from the beginning again and say what I’ve learnt by heart and read the next part of the script and keep doing that till I’m comfortable that I can say the whole thing without a script. It takes longer than most methods but so far i've never made mistakes in monologues

If you have never acted on TV before you should know that it is a lot of hard work (Long hours, the Lights create a lot of heat, Stressed out people, Constantly trying to remain on schedule and nearly everything in the world will be trying to hold everything back) but in the end you get a great feeling of satisfaction.

Anyways Best of Luck. If it doesn't work out don't give up just keep trying, even if you just get a part as an extra it's a good start seize every opportunity given ( On TV I started out as just an observer, I went because a friend of mine was working on a project and she wanted me to see what it was like after showing interest and talking to the people there I started with doing very menial things and worked my way up) don't worry about who else might be auditioning even if you don't get chosen for a couple of auditions you will have gained experience in auditions and won't be as worried in future ones.

Then again I don't live in the U.S so things could be different there.

P.S. I just read Newyorkgals post and all though we have done interviews and some auditions on Sundays I would recomend taking a parent or a guardian with you, your parents might also want to see what type of people you will be working for and what the script is about, also you will need them to sign any contracts that will be needed if you pass the auditions as you are still a minor.

Yes. Read about what to do on auditions on-line.
You'll find out the do's and don'ts, which will give you a guideline. Dress professionally, and have your portfolio and headshots with you, if you have them.
Be ready to talk about your experience with acting or modeling, and know what you're strongest traits are photographically. Is it your eyes, your hair, your chin, your complexion, your smile, -your expressions...
Treat every audition as a learning experience. The more you have, the better you will become.

-Used to be an agent

The best way to impress him is to be professional, that is, know your lines inside out. Also having a resume of any acting work you've done is a good idea too. A resume is a summary of your work history and the skills you've developed as a result.

WITH the creation of the hot sheepfold of non secular Israel on the day of Pentecost in 33 C.E., the former sheepfold for the organic Jews below the Mosaic regulation covenant gave up the ghost as having served its purpose. 3 and a nil.5 years later got here the conversion, baptism and spirit anointing of the Roman centurion Cornelius and his believing pals and family individuals at Caesarea. to that end the nonproselyted, uncircumcised Gentiles have been further into the sheepfold of which Jesus Christ is “the door.” (Acts, financial disaster 10) This fold encloses “the Israel of God,” Israelites in accordance to the spirit, or non secular Israelites. would desire to it is asserted of any of those—Jew or Gentile—that they “are no longer of this fold”—the fold amassed in accordance to the hot covenant association? surely no longer!—Galatians 6:sixteen; John 10:sixteen.

Talent Agencies are NOT open on Sunday. It's very unusal for a real Talent Agent to audition on a Sunday.

Please be sure to take one or both of your parents with you, as it is NOT typical to audition someone, especially a 13 year old, on a Sunday. Please make sure that your parents are aware of this.

Have your monologue, assuming you have one, memorized through and through. Be able to do it standing on your head with someone throwing pillows at you.

If you want to impress your agent, be yourself, be on time, and KNOW YOUR LINES!

Good luck.

Have fun with whatever piece you're doing. Just relax and have fun with your work- after all, you love it. Make sure your face, and especially your eyes are visible at all times. Speak loudly and clearly. When you introduce yourself, be warm and open.

Well, I don't know you, but I let you know that I believe in you, more that you believe in your self, so, first, you must believe that you can do it the best, be yourself, if you believe, you are the best.
