my aunt doesnt want me to have a myspace because it SEEMS to dangerous.but it really isnt, you can block people and make your profile private.most everyone has a myspace!

Some young people put too much personal information out there such as their name and the school they go to. All it takes is one person to pretend to be someone they are not, and that one kid is now in danger.

But if you and your aunt talk about how to avoid making big mistakes online, you should be OK. :)

Because it is on the internet, and child predators are on the internet, and they target social networks (why not the biggest one out there, Myspace).

It's up to the person using it if your gullible then thats your fault because most of the people on there are liars and will lie to make you melt.

one that i know of for sure is it is the easyest way to get virus and spyware even with protection, no condom will help some of the trojens in there and you might not find it until your computer keeps crashing

Old people seem to be afraid of it.

I think that the unkown is just scary to people.

CHILD PREDITORS, THEY USE IT ALOT. AS A PARENT I MADE A MISTAKE AND DID NOT KNOW INTILL THIS WEEK WHAT THEY HAD LOOKED UP INTILL I VIEWED 3 WEEK HISTORY , THEY ARE BANNED FROM MY SPACE MABEY WHOLE COMPUTER.

Theres supposidly codes out to get around private profiles, i found this site with instructions http://www.widewebhosting.net/users/tipster/myspace_view_private_profiles.htm i donno if it still works tho
