Of mice and men was one of the saddest I remember seeing when I was younger. There are a few versions out there I guess, and I saw the one made in 1981 with Randy Quaid as Lenny and Robert Blake as George. I like older movies that show the hard times of the old days. Let me know what you think.

The ones you mentioned are really sad, but the saddest movie I have ever seen is Cocoon. It is about old people finding a "fountain of youth" in a swimming pool containing alien pods. Most of the old people enjoy the pool but a few refuse to use it. One refuses until his wife dies, he then takes her body to the pool and tries to revive her. I was not just crying, I was weeping uncontrollably. This is rare because it usually takes a lot to make me cry. Sometimes when I just talk abou it I start to cry, here I go again...

City of Angels...i saw it a few yrs ago and never will i watch it again...i felt so sad for days. Its a great movie with Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. Its a wonderful movie but i hate to be that sad. Just talking about it feels weird. The director really brings you personaly close to these two people.
