I've had NEXTEL for 3 years now and it has been the most dependable service I have had. There have been 2 times recently that I lost service and emailed customer support about the situation. My phone was back up within a reasonable time and the follow-up was very good. With Verizon I was loosing more calls and couldn't get a signal in my house.
I have the best plan for the money that works for me with NEXTEL since I need long-distance, no roaming, day minutes, etc. I don't use the walkie-talkie feature. My brother-in-law switched after Sprint bought NEXTEL just because he didn't like Sprint so I have no need for it.

Nextel is actually the better service. I don't reccomend cingular. I have them and get several dropped calls, and very, very poor service. Try NEXTEL or t mobile.

My husband has nextel. Its horrible, I can never get in touch with him...he never has reception. Stay far away from them, sign up with cingular or verizion.
