The bat has the longest tongue for mammals.
Although the giraffe's tongue can reach 18 inches in length, the giant anteater beats that, with tongues averaging 20 to 23 inches. The anteater reaches into ant nests and termite mounds to capture the insects. It doesn't slurp them up, but instead catches the insects with its sticky saliva, eating up to 35,000 insects a day!

Check that out- it is the world's longest tongue to body ratio. I think thing the longest tongue overall would have to be a chameleon or anteater.

I think it is the giraffe but not sure. Could also be the aardvark or the anteater. Not sure on the length.

The Giraffe, they need it in order to reach the leaves high in the acasia trees. (we were on safari in Africa two years ago)
