so i just got a 95 honda accord 4 cyl 2.2l with vtec....
How much can i do to it to make it faster.

Yeah the guy above me stated the underdrive pully. Dont do it, it costs what, 50 bucks or more plus having it installed? They have done dyno tests and have found to add a WHOPPING 1-3 horsepower to the engine, notttt worth it. Intake header exhaust. yay. Remember, you NEVER EVER EVER get the hp increases that the sites state unless you have a built motor with a good setup. If you get an exhaust, go with headers, pipes and muffler... the stock exhaust pipe is too small and if you dont change it to 2 and 1/2 to 2 and 3/4 inch you wont get any performance increase... Plus the larger pipe makes a deeper tone ;) put in a high flow cat (even though you will smell exhaust fumes... it will not pass an O2 emmisions inspection, but being a 95, its only a visual inspection... so just tell them you have a good cat on it. lol...
ALRIGHT! here is what i would do with your F22 engine...
Take the engine out and put high compression pistons and eagle rods in it so it can withstand the new power, without them you will be throwing a rod, and then youre really screwed... heck while the motor is out, bore it over and put larger pistons... get the compression up in the 12's heh heh... then on the head perform a port and polish with some crower or comp / zex camshafts which is reallllllly worth their weight in gold... thats where you will get some real power... sometimes as much as 20 or 30... for roughly 300 bucks... but doing this, you will need to change to performance valve springs and retainers... if i was you i would spend the extra cash for a whole valvetrain kit... heck you can even open the valves up by boring them out an extra mm or two... more velocity ;) this is where that cold air intake comes into play... the motor is screaming I NEED MORE AIR AND FUEL with this new power.... soooo i would get an edelbrock or skunk2 throttle body and intake manifold to suck in that new air. also im not sure of what exactly you will need, but some aftermarket injectors might be needed and mos definitely a higher rate fuel pump... after you get EVERYTHING installed you then chip your ecu because without doing that youre going to be screwed and wasting a lot of money!
REMEMBER with alllll this compression you will NOT be able to run a turbo or supercharger... you will melt pistons, crack a sleave or just blow a gasket... all spell disaster. if you want to run forced induction, then all you would need to do is keep the compression LOW in the 8's to 9's and maybe 10.0 but no higher i would say to keep it safe... what you would need is low compression pistons to get a turbo installed...
remember though im not including a lot of other stuff like, ignition, sparks, wires, clutch and such... lot of things work together... and you only go as fast as your wallet will let you ;) hope you have fun doing all this, i know i would and do working on my car :D

There are a host of bolt on parts you can add for quicker response. A 95 accord...I'm assuming has quite a few miles on the engine, so forced induction may not be an option unless you reinforce the block. Would hate for you to add a few pounds of boost just to blow a rod through the bottom of your engine.
The old I/H/E (Intake/Headers/Exhaust) combo works for a bigger displacement car like the Accord. Check out the AEM's, DC Sports and Greddy's of the world. Just do all three at the same time for the best results. Also, though I don't reccomend it, underdrive pulley's work wonders after you do the above. BUT, you may run into charging problems with your alternator, so be warned.

Truthfully nothing short of $10,000 will make a Honda fast enough to run a 16 second 1/4 mile. You could do like a million ricers who watched the stupid fast and furious movies and add a couple dozen stickers (don't forget a NOS sticker), home made wing, glue a large coffee can on the back for the ricer fart tube look, play your radio as loud as you can....

there are many ways to make a car go faster but with the added power you will have alot more wear on parts. easy ways are exhaust, computer modifications and intake. to put it simple, if ya add even a little power you have alot higher rate of parts going bad so if ya cant work on your own car or dont have alot of cash, i would just leave it alone and find another car to fix up so your daily driver isnt down from racing all the time

The easiest places to start are to open up the exhuast via hi-flow cat and muffler and open up the intake via CAI and K&N filter. Then, upgrade the ignition with better coils, plugs, and wires.
Otherwise, neon paint and a giant wing always help! Oh, dont forget the yellow stickers :D

For the same price as all this crap you could go buy a new Accord with the V6. Or better yet you could buy an actual sports car instead of a family sedan.
