Personally, I would rather live in a smaller town close by a larger city. I still am close enough to take advantage of the bigger city's entertainment, shopping, medical services, jobs, etc, but have the smaller town where I can walk the streets without fear of being harmed.

I was born and raised in So. Ca. I always wanted to live in a small town. After 49 years of big city, I now live in a town so small we don't even have a Starbucks. I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live close to Yosemite natl.park, and work there in the summer months.

Live in the small town. Just for the reasons that you stated. Of course I would rather live out in the country near a medium size city. Which is what I used to do. It was nice being able to have any animals I wanted and having a huge garden. That and not having any nosy neighbors poking there nose in your business.

I live in a small town near a large city. It's great! Nice and quiet, no crime to speak of, everyone is friendly, I actually know my neighbors, it's fantastic! And Seattle is only about a 30 minute drive away. I'd have it no other way.

I used to live in Peterborough during university which is about an hour and a half from Toronto where I live now. Imagine the difference - a place of about seventy thousand (I think) compared with the biggest city in Canada. I really enjoyed my time in Peterborough, but I couldn't move back now. I've gotten used to living in a bigger place again. However, I understand your point of view and am glad it's working for you :)

Smaller town next to a larger one. Convenient yet a little quieter. That's the kind of town I live in right now.

I'd rather live in a small town. They are a lot quieter and more peaceful, and you can be away from the traffic and the hectic city life
