Personally, I like mine medium rare and sizzling. Some of the best times I've had have been in the local steak houses, and up until a few years ago I thought nobody could compete with them. I was wrong, there are some great steak houses out there. I still like the locals but I have some favorites when I get out of town. As investments, a few of them are as hot as their steaks, while the others should be, but haven't caught on yet. Let me start with Smith & Wollensky, the New York Times says "A Steak House to end all arguments." I would have to agree, but their stock hasn't mirrored my feelings. Although they were up 12.81% in the last year.

I agree with you. My favorite is a nice thick juicy medium rare steak cooked outside on the grill. Then I want to sit on the patio by the pool and savor it with a glass of red wine. It is a warm, balmy summer night; my husband is the cook and he is with me and maybe a few of our friends. Doesn't get much better than that. Yum!

I enjoy my steak medium well, marinated, with mushrooms and onions, and a nice baked potato with sour cream and butter, and a salad with Italian bread. OH! I'm getting hungry!

Medium rare. basically a little pink...and very juicy. I usually add cajun seasoning to mine when I plop one on the grill. ; )
