I just want to know the value of a reprinting of X-men #1, (1963) Its a reprint, looks in good condition, all the pages are there. How much do you think it's worth?

Before I answer your question, let me ask you a couple to finetune things. Your copy was published when? In what format? I ask because X-Men #1 (1963) has been reprinted many times over the years. To name a few:

Marvel Tales #2 (1965)
Son of Origins of Marvel Comics (1974)
Amazing Adventures #1-2 (12/79-1/80)
Marvel Masterworks #3 (1987)
Marvel Milestone Edition (1991)
Uncanny X-Men Masterworks (1993)
X-Men: The Early Years #1 (5/94)
X-Men Famous Firsts limited hardcover (1995)
Son of Origins of Marvel Comics (11/97)

OK, let me assume that what you have is a Marvel Milestone Edition reprint because you described it as if it's one single comic book. (Marvel reprinted a few of its milestone issues in 1991 to commemorate its 30th year in the business.)

Well, sorry to dash your hopes of striking gold, bub. That particular issue isn't worth much these days. You'd be lucky if you get TWO dollars for it!

A few reasons:

1) It is printed on cheap paper (with the silver border on the cover, I think).

2) It has a huge circulation (it came out when the comic glut is flooding the market with "collector's items").

3) Last and more importantly, it is a REPRINT. Historically, reprints aren't worth the paper they are printed on unless you factor in several variables (rarity, age, etc.)

Besides, you described your copy as in "good condition". In comic bookspeak, "good" is bad...at least when it describes the condition of a comic. In grading, "Good" means:

2.0 (in a scale of 10...10 being GEM MINT/PERFECT) – Good

"A copy with significant wear with several and varied defects which is still complete and readable. Cover may be detached, there will be heavy creasing, spine and edge wear, little if any gloss and may have a number of moderate stains and chips. chunks out of the cover. Some tape may also be present."

I hope you were enlightened by my lengthy explanation. Sorry to disappoint you.

Nothing really ...try eBay and see what it goes for. Its value and how much people are willing to pay are two different things.
