My bro wants to sell me a 2 GB flash drive for $ 30 it is basicly brand new but the cover on it is a little damaged. Should I buy it from him???

Sorry, wrong answer! I just looked up the goin prices on tiger direct and you can buy a 2 gig for as little as 25 bucks and thats a no rebate item, they also have one for 5 bucks with a rebate offer but dont buy anything from tiger with a rebate! You will never see it! Geesus they dropped like a rock since Christmas! Im gonna go buy me a new one! I magine they will show up at walmart for 30 bucks for 2 gigs shortly.

I'd suggest against doing it. Assuming you're in the states, you can pick up a basic one from Newegg for less money. Used hardware is never worth as much (or more than, in this case) new hardware.

What kind of damage? 2GB for $30 isn't bad considering a 1GB can sell for about $54 at Staples. If it works, buy it.

I think it worth it. I think you better check the retail prices before. The cover is not a problem you have it safe even without it. Make sure it works. first try saving some stuff first then format it and check whether it works again.

Thats a pretty good deal, you could find them on amazon and stuff for like, 27 bucks, but with tax and shipping, you'll save money buying it from your bro.
Don't let him know that your getting a good deal though.....
