My husband and I just moved into our 1st house and in the move I lost all of my Ortho Evera birth controll patches. We have been practicing the "pull out" method since October 10th, (the first day I got off my period of that month.) And since then we have just not used any form of birth controll aside from "pulling out".. It is now January and I have had no period (2 months skipped so far..), no signs of having a period, nor any tell-tale signs of pregnancy.. (Kinda nice, really, no period!!) I took quite a few at-home tests, all of which came out negative. I am going to go to the doctor here in the coming weeks, just wondering of anyone knew just how long it would take for me to concieve after being on the patch for 5 years continuously, or if I am just dreaming again about having a bundle of joy and if it is even possible.. If it happens, I guess we're blessed! If not, we'll have just a little more time to be newlyweds, huh? =)
Thank you for all you help in advance!

The patch works just like the pill, meaning that as soon as you stop taking it, you can become pregnant right away. This is one of the benefits of the pill/patch as opposed to the Depo shot (which hangs around in your system and can affect fertility for many months afterwards).

Having no period and negative pregnancy tests for the past 2 months is unusual though. Definitely see your doctor. Good luck! =)

You can concieve right away or it can take up to a year after stoping birth control to concieve. Really there is no way to know.
