I have a 400Mb monthly limit on a wireless laptop broadband plan

Hi there, basically, text or written websites use very little of your monthly limit, sites with lots of graphics or pictures use a fair bit more but you still may be under your limit. Anything with audio, video, music etc will use up an awful lot. Tune in to a radio station for 30 mins and see how much you have downloaded. But back to your original question... Anything that uses sound such as Skype will use up a heap of your monthly limit. If you call overseas alot it may be cheaper for you to just scrap the phone and use skype for everything and get an unlimited downloads plan.

Voice when transferred to data is much more than just plain words typed.So your 400mb monthly limit would be easily surpassed.

400mb is about half a CD - I'd have to say that it would blow that limit out of the water!
