i was feeding my hamster some apple and she was biting some off and putting it in her cheeks like always then i guess a small chunk of apple didn't get into her cheeks. afterwards she started going nuts trying to get the piece out. she coughed jumped up nd down and looked like she wanted to vomit. she finally swallowed it i guess, but i want to kno wat 2 do in case it happens again.

As long as she is coughing, she's doing what she has to do. She doesn't need help. If she was not able to get any air in or out, you could have tried the Heimlich maneuver; put your finger on on the solar plexus, just behind the rib cage on her abdomen, and press suddenly up toward the lungs. This could force air from the lungs to push the apple out. Look up how to do it on humans, and adapt it to the hamster. But I doubt it will ever happen again.
Once in all the pets I have had, I had a rat choke on peanut butter. I gave her some, she ate it too fast, and started to choke. She couldn't breathe at all, and I was frantically digging peanut butter from her mouth. Watery peanut butter was coming out of her nostrils and eyes in her tears. Finally her airway opened up and she could breathe again. She was okay. But I was very cautious with peanut butter after that.

give ur hamster some water or if its bad take ur hamster to the vet.
