Reformat and reload using NTSF file system, not FAT32.

Also Start>Run>type "msconfig" and look under the startup tab. uncheck what you don't need running all the time... Real player is known for prolonging boot times.

If you reloaded using a quick restore disk or some similar method the manufacturer probably loaded it full of junk, there are many decrapifier tools available for such situations. If you own a Dell search google for a Dell decrapifier ...

I dont think that using fat32 or ntfs will sufficiently change your boot times, but I do think that msconfig would be useful as stated above. I also think some additional spyware removal tools could help, try adaware se and spybot sd
Good luck

First of all you must have enough RAM to increase the speed, the more RAM u will give it, the more speed you willl get so....
Now coming to point first uncheck all the unusual applications that are starting in startup sequence. Go to start>>RUN>>type msconfig>>go to startup tab >> and uncheck the entries that seems unuseful or u don't want to load at startup. like Y~msngr. Oracle.exe, Adobe speed launcher etc.. >> click ok >> ok >>Exit without restart>> then go to desktop>> right click on my computer>> Advanced Tab>>Under Performance menu>>click Settings>>Advance Tab>>click change>>
Here first click on ur system drive say C:\ then >> select No paging file(ignore error)>>click set>>then select the drive which have most free space. click on it>> check System Managed Size >> click Set>>OK>>ok restart ur system.
And if you have any server system installed then stop it loading on system boot.
Use Registry Mechanic to remove unnecessary registry entries.

Try this it worked for me. Plus its fast.
1. Click the start menu
2. Click Run
3. Type in msconfig and press "OK"
4. Click on Services top right, next to start up.
5. Click on "Hide all Microsoft Services" (Programs needed to run windows)
6. Click on "Disable all"
7. Now click on Startup (top right)
8. Disable All(Disabling all Stupid programs not needed to run windows.
9. Click Apply then close.
10. It will ask you to restart for changes to take effect. "RESTART" You will notice the difference as it boots. If no Difference. More than likely Hardware issues.
