Would you rather live in a large city or a rural small town, and why? And which do you live in now?

Half-way in between. That way you can get the weird car parts when you need them, without having to live with all the traffic and noises everyday. And you're closer to the country.

And that's where I live. City slickers and country bumpkins are both extremists. We middle-of-the-territory folks have easy access to both worlds.

I live in a suburb of about 100,000. I was born/raised in a city but lived for 4 yrs. in a small semi-rural town. I didn't mind the town so much as the distance from any good-sized city (about 50 miles over roads which got either snowed in or flooded in the winter).

I must say I prefer the suburbs, 'tho small rural towns can be nice if they're not too far off the beaten path! Suburbs have the best of both worlds: not as big or congested as cities, but with some of the perks (parks, movie theatres, shopping malls, entertainment).

Small town because it's less hassle but of course you give up some things in the process.

I live in a city of 1 million right now but I'm moving in a month or so to a small town of a few thousand. It'll be an adjustment at first but I'll get used to it.

I currently live in a mid-sized town. I grew up in the sticks outside a very small town--so I'd like to live in a huge city at least once before I settle back into the country for good.
