If so, who are they?

C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien are consistently sex free. If you like murder mysteries check out the Peter Wimsey series by Dorothy Sayers. As I recall any sexual references in those are discreet.

Do a search on Christian authors....maybe at www.amazon.com. I used to get alot of books for my Mom to read from the Religious Fiction section at our local bookstore.

I vaguely remember one of the author's being Lori Copeland, but there are many others in that section who would not include sexually explicit material.

However, a disporportionate number of Christian books seem to be set in the Old West. That gets old after awhile.....

Yes, there are some authors like George Orwell, Graham Greene, Vikram Seth, R.K. Narayan, E.M.Forster, etc. who portraited some sexual situations (if any) with artistic, implying and tactful words/sentences. Therefore, their literary works are still of high romantic taste and aesthetic standards and we can read them over and over again with appreciation, not disgust.

I can recommend an excellent book I just finished. It was breathtaking. By Reynolds Price, it's "Blue Calhoun", 1992. I would not recommend it for children, since it deals with adult themes. Perhaps ages 17 and up could appreciate it. Any references to sex are oblique and there are not that many. Good Luck...
