BY ALL MEANS YES. ALL THE TIME AND AT THIS EXACT MOMENT. HEAVEN IS NOT FAR AWAY, ITS ONLY 3 FEET UP, FROM WHAT WE CALL THE GROUND. SO THE NEXT TIME U, ME, AND ALL OF US. DOES SOME OF THE THINGS WE WONT SPEAK OF, GO TO THE RESTROOM, AND EVERYTHING WE DO IN THIS SO CALLED LIFE. JUST THINK, GOD SEES US AND THE PEOPLE WE'VE LOST IN OUR LIVES. SO TRUE! ITS LIKE WERE IN THEIR WORLD,AND THEY ARE JUST AS ALIVE THERE AS WE ARE HERE. THERE IS OUR HOME, NOT THIS EARTH.

To answer the question, I personally believe that, yes, God is watching us. Obviously, this makes me something other than an atheist. I am a theist, and specifically, a Christian. But the question seems to go further than simply asking about God's omniscience; rather, the statement following the question suggests that things happen because one's faith is strong, and favorable circumstances and results do not occur because one's faith is weak.

I wholeheartedly disagree, and it is not because I want to. The reality of life on earth forces me to be realistic in my evaluation not only of people, but of God, of the Bible, of ethics. Perhaps this is evidenced by the fact that I have been very influenced by theologians such as Paul Tillich, Karl Barth, and Reinhold Niebuhr. Each of these theologians were quite realistic, and in this particular discussion, I think that Paul Tillich's work, entitled "The Dynamics of Faith," is particularly useful. (I do not want to take up too much space, but I wholeheartedly encourage anyone curious on the nature of a realistic conception of faith to pick it up and read it carefully.)

Faith of the sort that is described in the question above is, quite simply, naive. It assumes that the few experiences of the individual makes his or her assumptions universally true. What is so frighteningly ridiculous is that there are persons of faith throughout the world who are poor, whose children are starving, and who do not enjoy the amenities of American life that I do (such as running water and electricity). Not only so, but as a Christian, I look to the past of my faith and see that the earliest of Christians had greater faith than I do, and they were persecuted and killed for a faith which seems to believe that it should be a political power. Christianity is not about having a level of faith that guarantees the results that one desires; a Christian is a Christian only if she or he could remain so in the face of death. (I also think that such is true of any other faith.)

Does God watch over us? I certainly hope so, because if we are left to our own devices, then it is only a matter of time now before all things come to a bitter and violent end. But this is no guarantee of a wonderful life, and it is a terrible fallacy to believe that faith will give you "health and wealth."

Sorry, but there is no such thing as weak or strong faith. That one has faith in God is all what matters. So what will happen if someone you rely on dies while what you call a stronger faith could have saved them? Will you blame yourself rather than accept that God needed them more? Having faith in God is trusting his strength, not your own. Oh, and no, God has no need to watch, he knows when we need to rely on him and is waiting for our requests. Do you trust God?

It's so good to see that so many people believe the truth. Yes, God is definately watching us. Ask Israel. In pld testament times, God ordained Israel as his people. He would watch over them and guide them. Israel is still on the map to this day because God was, is, and always will be watching over them. He is truly there when we need Him. D. jo said it best. We lose nothing by beliving, but if we don't we lose everything. Pretty simple scenario if you ask me.

Where is the question? And your statement makes very little sense at all. We all have our own beliefs. Some just aren't the same as others. Higher beings would be considered a god to them in a sense....

Absolutely! I believe he sees everything we do, all the time. I had an experience 3 years ago, and it made me really beleive. I knew my mom had been sick for some time with Angina(heart condition), so bad, she was not elegible for open heart surgery. However, she told the family she was feeling fine and that she wouldn't need surgery. When she talked to me, she told me how she really was. All arteries were 98% blocked and surgery would not be possible. She was on God's time(borrowed time if you will). She knew I was a spiritual person, had many encounters with relatives who had passed, unusual things happening around my house...but I was at ease with that. My mom said that she prayed everyday for her time to come so her pain could go away. I told her that I would pray with her everyday, and if god got back to me in some way, I would let her know. In early Sept. of 2003, I was walking to pick my sons up from school, when my cell phone rang. It was my Aunt Isabelle. She told me that she had tried to contact my mom but there was no answer. She wanted to tell her that all was well, and she would see her soon. I called my mom and told her the conversion. My mom reminded me something that I had momentarily forgotten. Aunt Isabelle had passed away 3 years prior. 2 months later, 3rd week of Nov., mom passed away from a massive heart attack, but peacefully at rest with family gathered around. So, how did my aunt get my unlisted cell phone number, and how did she know that my dad had taken my mom out earlier that day, so she was not home to get the call from beyond. There is only one person who knows all and sees all. The one who knew that I was the only one my mom had spoke the truth to besides my dad, and the only one who knew that I had my phone on me, and knew how to dial from the other side, and the only one who knew that my mom's time was short, and sent the message trough a beloved relative with whom we were very, very close to. I believe that he is watching over us at all times. Also, my son got sick 2 years ago. A gangerous appendix burst in his stomach. He spent countless days in the childrens hospital after emergency surgery. During surgery, they lost his heart beat, 2.5 mins.He saw himself floating under the bluest ocean, and he didn't have to struggle to breathe. It was dark beneath him, but beautiful above. The waters opened up, and he was pulled out. Could he have easily been pulled down. I'm sure. Was GOD watching my son. Absolutely. He knew this 14 yr. old boy was not ready to leave this life, and reached for his hand to pull him back. So, does GOD watch over us. Yes, my dear, he does. Each and everyone of us. He put us all here, and he can take us at any time. But he watches our every move. A quote from a book by Richard Bach called "ONE", states this. "We are not humans on a spiritual journay, but spirits on a human journey". I leave you with that thought, but the true decision is what you believe in your heart. I believe, if you are spiritual, this is a book that you should definitely read.

always. i believe it more and more everyday which is why lately i have been on edge bc 2006 did not end well for me. wound up doing a few things i wasnt proud of and hurting others bc of it and i knew that God and my relatives which have passed saw it all and im ashamed of that. long story short, God sees and knows all. he sees your past, present, and future. he sees your heart and who you are inside and out. so be good to HIm for he is the one who gave you life. What you do with that life is up to you but do try to make him Proud for we only live once.

Is this a question, or just a pathetic way to spread your faith?

I personally don't believe any God/gods are watching us.
