I know the answer to this question is unequivecally me! I know I'm the one that is holding myself back. I'm a bit concerned with feelings that my life is going no where fast. I'm 26, have a dead-end, but steady job. I haven't found another suitable job; definetely not for lack of trying! I make due with what I have but I am definetely cash strapped. I'm somewhat dissatisfied with my relationships; I feel that I haven't got back what I have put into them. I have an associates degree, but it doesn't seem to get me anywhere. I sincerely can't think of a career path that intrests me. I feel as if I have always done things just to say I do them. I just love life and people and I want to be a more active participant in life! What can I do?

I know the answer to that question and it's the same thing that plagues my life. It's called indecision and the inability to focus on what you truly love to do. I'm not talking about what type of work environment you like, I'm talking about what is in your heart.

I have an associates degree and several certificates as well, and I've been unemployed for 4 years now. I hate my life, yet I'm powerless to fight the system. Since I'm 57 my phone never rings because companies are getting shrewed and asking for the date of high school completion. That's a crappy way of telling a persons age and actually illegal in all respects. But companies being as they are, I can't fight this thing.

What you need is to find something that you love to do even as a hobby and add it to your list. This means that if you sew well and love it, then flaunt the things you make at any kind of sale where they do such things. Are you Artsey? Do you love ceramics?

Not everyone can do these things and work too, but it's something to think about. I suppose I should have not quit my last job in management to take care of my mother before she passed away; but I did it because I loved her and she needed her daughter and not the cold confines of a nursing home, or strangers tending to her, which she hated. She wanted me, so I gave it all up. The 401K, the wage, the bennies...everything. Then a year later she was gone. Do I regret what I did? No, and I'd probably do it again...I loved her that much. But I'm paying the ultimate price for that love.

Do what you need to do to make yourself happy. Don't worry about what other people think of you. Don't quit your day job, but don't let it be your only job. Take on something that you love, and everything else will fall into place. Good Luck and God's speed.

It is time to make a major change in your life or you will be stuck in that dead-end forever. Write down all the things you want in life. Then make a plan to get to them. Try to do little things everyday the will bring you closer to your goals. Try your best to cut out things in your life that takes you away from your goals. It will take time and hard work, but if you want it bad enough you can get it. You really have to want it ! Do some thing you really love to do and get someone to pay you for it. Good luck.

First one has to understand the prupose of human life or how can one be truly happy. We are not this body; Race, color, nationiality, intellect, senses, job, ect. we are eternal spirit souls, Part and parcel of the Supreme Soul also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We have to reconnect to become happy. the quickest and easiest way to get in touch with our Maker- who is situated in the Core of your heart is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great Mantra for deliverance from suffering and illuison ) go to krishnacultue. for details and read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupad to know the meaning of life.

If you DO like the business world (and the money), try to extend your associates degree into an undergrad in accounting. Even if you hate accounting.....you can move on after two years.

Money is good right now.
