a. People discriminate against White people, too. Affirmitive action and racial quotas come immediately to my mind. Other races are also guilty of believing in superiority.

Its not true that white is superior and black is inferior. Why people think is may be due to the follwing.
1. In India - Traditionally, India was having number of Kings & Queens. Generally, Queens has to moniter and order for work, they do not have to perform actual duties. Most of the time they are in their Palaces ie. in shade. So the Queens are whitish as comapred to the comparable common ladies. Also, the marriages of such High places were in the same or equivalent .
So, biologically or by jeans, the skin colour cells/pigments are Whitish.
As King+Queens are respected by everybody, over generations
its a human pscycology to respect White colour.

2. Globally
Around the 05 continents, from centuries, Europeans were aggressive in the filed of new land treasures, concquring the lands, industralisation, etc. Also, they conqured Indians and african countries. Traditionally. the conqured people called the White Europeans KIngs, and they may think White is superior.

One more thing, previouselly, Indians and Africans were technically far behind than the Europeans. So there was a 'borrowing' mentality towards White.

As a Caucasian, I find myself inferior in certain groups, as I'm in the minority by world standards; and if I happen to be the best qualified for a job, I will not not always get it, because of the color of my skin. I am not attempting to be sarcastic here, just has been my own personal experience. My Caucasian great, great grandparents played a major role in the Underground RR through Washington DC during the Civil War, at great risk to their own lives. I think decency in society has to do with loving and respecting each other with integrity and dignity, and not remaining hung up by mere surface appearances.

I think the short answer is that people that are shallow will remain shallow. Martin Luther King spoke eloquently and succinctly when saying equality should be for all, "regardless of the color of their skin."

What makes you think that fair people "think" they are superior! Ask any Indian man about his ideal bride he will start with "Fair and beautiful" It is human tendency to like white, because of this clean fair colour! Unfortunately this seeps into everything we do! If you go to a shop to buy a shirt, what are the chances you will buy a dark coloured shirt or a light coloured one! (I am talking about Indians)

If you are talking about superiority, I think the blacks (africans) are a superior race, they have proved it in their talents that they are leaders way ahead - be it sports, music etc! We Indian have proved we are highest intelligent lot world over in developing technology! We have helped build US computing technology! In the same way the Chinese, the Japanese the Israelis, the Russias, the Hispanics all are different and yet together we make the world!

In the earlier years, this used to be a stupid excuse to dominate and rule the countries. But no one would believe a stupid theory like that today!

But lets stop at that, we are absuing our God, our loving father who would have looked down on us after creating us human beings that he put in so much variety in life! There are brown, black, pink, red, yellow, white, tan and what not skin colours! Look at nature! how boring would it be to see everything painted in a single colour! If God created us this way we are no one to discriminate! After all the colour of our hearts is just one!

Personally I am offended by this question. Why do "people of different skin color" think that all white people are to blame. But in answer to your question it is only the small minority that is to blame for this perception, and if there is something true about most minorities in the western world in this day and age it is that they have the loudest voices, and the squeaky wheel always gets the grease. Not all white people think they are superior. Not all *insert whatever race you choose* think they are superior. There are certainly some people in every group that think they are the best. The same idea applies to politics, money, and religion.

whites are very weary of thier skin color at this day and time they are realizing that they have no power anymore and are lower in the eyes of all continent of people all over the world! They have created such bad future for themselves they fear now, heres why
