Repenting is redeeming yourself in a way, so it's kind of confusing since they're almost the same thing. If you do a good act instead of just saying sorry for doing something bad, it's much better, I believe. Actions speak more than words.

repent and then try to redeem myself. i try to live my life as a christian should but I have many shortcomings and need forgiveness daily. I am sure it is cliche but I always say God knows my true heart and that is what amtters as he will be my final judge theses people on earth who want to be judge and jury well enough said you take care you are a nice person in my book

I think it's necessary to repeat first before you can truly redeem yourself; otherwise, your motives for redemption might not be honest.
