I was just wondering because my hamsters always asleep.

Yes they are nocturnal. They sleep during the day and awake at night because it is cooler at night.

Yes, they are nocturnal. They are small rodents who exist biologically to supply the food chain for larger animals. Being nocturnal gives them a fighting chance to survive. Of course, I've never actually SEEN a wild hamster, but you get the idea..

Guinea Pigs, though nocturnal, I think are nicer to have than a hampster.

of course! hamster are nocturnal, you can play with them at night, they are not sick,but remember, you may train them to sleep at night!

Yep they are. They sleep in the daytiome and come out to eat and play at night. Hopefully they don't keep you awake
