I'm 35 and my children (especially my 16 year old daughter) say I am ancient. I think that when you no longer have that twinkle in your eye and no spring in your step, you are old.

It depends.
I used to think 30 was old until I became 30. I'm 32 and I swear I don't feel a day over 18. It helps that I don't look 32. I still get mistaken for a teen. I'll miss that when it no longer happens!

I get more than looks from my kids.
My 13yr old son asked me (with a straight face), what it was like in the "old days, like when you were a kid". A@@hole!
My daughter told me her teacher was about my age....she's an A@@hole too. Turns out that her teacher's ten years older than me.
It's not the age that gets you the label, it's the people around you...
Stay away from kids, they really are too truthful.

Depends upon the age of those in the vicinity.
But I think that a big part of it is when you are no longer plugged into the popular culture

Age is a "state of mind".
If you are young at heart.
You will never grow old.

Just a few metal parts installed & keep a spray can of
WD 40 just in case...
