The original idea and definition behind truth is that it is not subjective, but rather it is absolute. Physics, logic, mathematics, and principles behind solid scientific laws are that fundamental objective truth cannot change.
But I do believe the premise set forth is regarding "truth is subjective" (therefore we must, for the moment, take out the philosophy of "truth is never subjective" from the debate, and will ignore certain views that maintain a "universal truth to everything")
Philosophy, psychology, and politics don't necessarily include only absolute and objective truths. To attempt to maintain order, a sense of right and wrong, good and bad, principles are set down under the definition of "truth" to various areas in with there are no universal laws understood, within the confines of the human mind alone, that govern them (often areas that we don't fully understand or cannot make a scientific law that predicts the outcome).
The problem with subjective truth, is that it really remains unsolved philosophical debate (especially areas of ethics and existence)... mankind has been trying to figure it out through reasoning since the ancient Greek civilization, so its doubtful they'll ever figure it out in the near future.
Imposing subjective truth universally then really becomes a flaw in logic.
Why is it done? well, it provides a psychological comfort for people to have some sense of having some sort standard, a grounding from which they can base their worldview, and its an attempt to maintain order. And so often, human nature has a self motive to control their environment and others in it -- its a means of enforcing their will and desire onto others... subjective truth is also used as an excuse or reason to reject principles or ideas one doesn't want to accept or be held under authority of.

Truth is not subjective and only relativists think so. The truth of gravity is " imposed " on you every day. This is the unalterable imposition of brute reality. I suggest you read "On Truth ", by Harry Frankfurt and perhaps it will clear you mind of relativistic nonsense.
PS Do not confuse subjective with a perspective. There can be many answers to a question, but there can not be just ANY answer.

Truth is imposed out of a perceived misconception that there are exceptions to the principal that "truth is subjective."

Truth is NEVER imposed. It may be recognized if it is found. Furthermore, I won't buy the notion that truth is something subjective.

It is not truth that is subjective; it is our view of what we believe the truth to be that is subjective. Many "truths" are not actually truths - they are only opinions. IMHO, mankind's greatest fault is the desire to feel safe by attempting to control others.

Because we don't truly believe that, we just say that to others when we can't win an argument or they argue against us. It is sophistry, or worse, real confusion. Subjectivity involves what we choose as truth, which reveals something about our character and tastes or motives, which are real. That is why Christians understand and try to persuade others that we can and will all be judged nonetheless in our subjectivity and for it; for what we choose or have chosen reveals the truth about ourselves, if nothing else. In other words our hearts and motivations can be opened up and we can be pronounced guilty notwithstanding perceived and felt subjectivity.
Not being able to deal with our subjectivity is what has led men to "science", in order to be rid of it and have the assurance of objectivity. We have taken the truth or responsibility of truth out of oursleves("our hearts") and given that responsibility to science. We have thus abdicated the throne and think we are free from responsibility, our great and high office of being 'like gods', judges between good and evil, and yet we are not dismissed from it.
We cannot say science made me do this, or believe this, truly we are(should be) masters over science, lords, not science master over us. We we prefer not to think this, we prefer not any position of accountability, burden, choice, freedom, or temptation. We prefer to think that like innocent children we are being told what to do or what to be, by science, and we have no choice in the issue. Notwithstanding the fact, we are the subjects that have given it life, in our subjectivity nonetheless, declaring it objective truth.
To the Christian and perhaps to some rare philosophers it is known that the turning of the truth into something outside of ourselves, instead of inside ourselves, does not make us guiltless, though many believe.that, subjectively of course.
Simply stating that truth is subjective, ironically thinking that one states something profound and true, does not really get to the bottom of it.
Some having been seduced, at the promise of freedpm, by these thoughts, are now become persuaded that since they believe the truth to be subjective , that means it is and will be impossible for any, including a god to judge them, or to impose any objective truth, thereby thinking that they can easily escape the judgement and the claims of any justice, or the charge of knowing any justice.
Thus we see how this idea may and does in fact serve the purpose of many evil, perverted and wicked men, who seek to escape the claims of any justice or knowldege of good and evil.

Firstly i will like to know how you come about the fact that truth is subjective, because its not. Truth is that which is eternal. It does not need anybody for support it remains the truth irrespective of what you, me or any other persons or beings think of it. it does not change. Gold is gold irrespective of who is holding it be it a king or a beggar.
