February is a good time to go, the weather is nice since its end of summer and no longer too hot.

Some good places to go:

- Theme parks: Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wetnwild (water park), Seaworld and White water world (water park). I reccommend going to Dreamworld and Wetnwild if you want fun (those are my two favorites). If you want to see Australian marine animals, seaworld is the place to go, it has a mixture of animals and rides. Movieworld, to me, is boring but ive been there a few times but if its your first time its a good place to go.

-Wildlife sancutries: Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary is a great place to see australian animals if you are not from around here. Its a zoo with many animals native to australia. Its great

- Shops: If you want to go to a shopping centre, Pacific fair is the place to go. Pacific fair is a big shopping place with heaps of shops and a movie cinema.

- Beach; You can't come to gold coast without going to the beach. I recommend going to Burleigh Beach.

Theres heaps more to do at your hotel they will also have gold coast whats on magazines and you should also look through them.

I hope this helped :) enjoy the gold coast!!!!

Personally I would rate the Sunshine Coast above the Gold Coast as a place to live...it's more natural yet still has all the amenities you're after & hasn't the same issue with violent crime that is dominating the news on the Gold Coast at the moment. The only thing I can't comment on is which of the 2 Universities has the better rating ...my guess is that Bond might have but you can be sure the fees will be right up there !

Hi
Lovely to hear you are going to the Gold Coast in Feb, my friend has recently moved out there and she says it's FAB!! the restaurants are all ok she hasn't come across a bad one yet only stay clear of the Kangaroo it's not so nice. The weather is wonderful at the moment and should be lovely in Feb, there summer started on the 1st Dec hope this helps.

the weather should be beautiful so long as it isn't rainy.....I suggest you take a trip to Lamington National Park or Springwood or Natural Arch......as for restaurants head a little South and try the beach stretch of restaurants in Kingscliff (30 mins from Gold Coast)
