I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have tried both and which one they liked better for their little one? I am using Enfamil now, but a friend of mine is using the Similac, and while I was babysitting her 7 month old, I noticed that the Similac mixed and smelled alot better than the Enfamil, more like a milk based formula. Also, the Enfamil leaves a strange film in the bottle, and the Similac doesnt. Any opinions out there would be appreciated. Thanks!!

It all really depends on what your baby will take. You're right, some of the formulas smell and even mix funky but its about what Baby will drink. My daughter refused all brand names and now only takes generic (she started on Nestle Good Start and went through all name brands).

It depends on the child. You can experiment to see which one the child will take better, but you have to try it for more than just a day or two, and give it a chance to see if it will work. Also, if this is your first child, keep in mind that what works for this one might not work for the next one. I used Similac w/iron for my first one, but my 2nd one couldn't drink it. I had to put him on a soy based formula.

My daughter won't drink anything but the Similac Isomil Advanced. I have tried other kinds but this one seemed better for her stomach. She would spit up very badly with the other kinds I tried.

My daughter had to drink Enfamil Prosobee because she was (and her dad is) lactose-intolerant.
