I never understood where people got the Idea that God hate homosexuals. God created the 10 commandments, the 10 things god does not allow man to do and considers a sin, and no where on there does it say anything about homosexuality.
My interpretation of the Bible has always been, if you follow the 10 commandments, and have lived your life as a good person then you can go to heaven.
People bring up Leviticus, but that was never in the bible i learned from. and after reading it I realized it was a load of garbage best left out of any christian faith.
Can homosexuals end up in hell? of course just as easily as a straight person, but NOT for being gay. And there certainly will not be an extra penalty for being Gay.

If I never was Bisexual again, I still would be a sinner. It's my nature, and it's you nature. We both need the same covering, the same Christ, the same grace. Apart from the post you had about the 'nonexistence of Hell,' which I do not agree with, I attempt to let the true Gospel be known here. It's not about how 'good' and 'clean' you can live, it's about trusting God for what He said. He said, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved. It also said that Jesus hung around those who knew that they were sinners. I'll bet that there were some Gay sinners with Him then. The Pharisees were the ones who had a problem with Jesus. Just as I see that there are many Christians that wouldn't approve of who Jesus chose to be with.
As Romans 12 says:
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Now many Christians think that means not smopking, being Gay, not eating whatever the unhealthy thing is, but know that what Paul wrote was about something else. He was talking about things that he wrote before Romans 12. That's what we know as Romans 11. It has to do with Spiritual Pride. That the Jews were broken off as a olive branch, and the Gentiles were grafted on as the new olive branch. It had NOTHING to do with what many Christians think it means now. Which is summarized in verse 3 of chapter 12;
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
Is that what you are doing in asking the question that you asked in this section? Or are you attempting to show how spiritual you are by invoking Hell as the place where any worse sinner than yourself is headed.
I think that by some of the answers that you got you were surprised. You didn't expect anyone here to know the Lord. But perhaps some of us has changed your mind? I hope so!

I feel GOd put us all here for a reason. We as imperfect humans will never know what reasons he may have or how he works. SO We shouldnt question. We should all love our lives the best way we can, trying our best not to hurt anyone and let God judge us on ournheart conditions not on the way we were born. Besides he made us all in his image and he makes no mistakes, so I have confidence there is nothign wrong with me and how i live my life!

my opinions of god are none of your business, honey..
let god be the one to judge me..
worry about yourself and your own imperfections.. do what you can to please god. don't worry about things you can't control.. it won't get you anywhere in life..
according to the bible, all sins are sins.. and will all be dealt with accordingly.. chances are, even though you may not be gay, you probably have committed some sort of sin in your life at some point.. so you should focus on cleaning up your own sins.. and making yourself a better person.
sorry if this sounds a bit harsh. i'm sure you are a lovely and wonderful person.. but it just upsets me every time a religious person seems more interested in worrying about others' sins, instead of looking in the mirror and worrying about their own life..
ok, you know, what. i will open up. i will tell you my true feelings.....
i have a very strange relationship with god. i often feel as though he doesn't care about my prayers.. i warn him that i want to do things his way, but if the cards don't fall into place, there will be consequences..
i asked him since i was 15 years old that even though i was bi, to please let me get married to a woman and have a family as soon as i grew up. but he wouldn't allow that.. so he takes his chances.. if he doesn't want me to be with a woman.. then he'll have to accept the fact that i may end up with a man. i am totally bisexual and he obviously made me bi for a reason.. not sure what his motives are.. i hate being bi, but that's just they way it is.
bottom line, i am fed up with being god's little pawn in his silly game of chess that is known as the planet earth. at this point, i really could care a less about God.. there's no further punishment he could give me that he hasn't already dished out on me...
it seems the entire world is having casual sex with everyone they know by the age of 15. and god seems ok with it.. and yet, here i am still a virgin at 33. i am trying to do things the right way.. but he is certainly making it very hard...
i'm not gonna wait forever, and i've prayed to god and told him this... if i don't have a loving and meaningful girlfriend by the end of the year, i will be turning back the clock and act like a teen.. and i will be having as much wild and crazy sex with as many men as i can possibly handle.. and, i will certainly enjoy every darn minute of it!
well, there you have it..

Don't feel anything about it. God doesn't decide my punishment. My actions decide MY punishment. There's no hell, like an after life hell. Hell exists right here. Don't look too far, look in your local ghettos or shelters for battered women or homeless. If you don't call their situation hell, what is it then?

I'm gay,and i'm dateing the guy I love and it's the greatest thing in my life right now. I'm a spiritual person I believe in god, but i'm not christian. I don't believe god will punish me for loving another person with all my heart. And if she/he does, well, it will be worth it.
Personally I feel a life without love is hell, if you live your life to the fullest it shouldn't matter what happens to you after you die. Do I feel like im gonna be punished when i'm with my boyfriend? No not at all, I feel like i'm in love with someone and they feel the same exact way about me.

Being gay and Christian are not mutually exclusive; eating pork is condemned in Leviticus just as homosexuality is, so I feel that the only penalty is upon those who are unfamiliar with Matthew 7:1.

I don't believe in hell. Beyond that, why would there be a penalty when there's nothing wrong with it? Why would God care how a couple of consenting adult mammals get their rocks off?

Nope, I don't believe that God ever intended for the Hebrew word for "weak" or "temple Prostitute" to ever have been translated to "homosexual."
I don't believe God punishes anyone for LOVE.
I don't believe homosexuality or homosexual sex is necessarily a sin at all. No more than heterosexual sex is a sin.
If done for profit, revenge, or any other means without love...sex can be harmful to anyone's emotional being.

As a non-Christian I'd have to say my Gods have no problem with my sexuality and any sort of reward or punishment would be based on my heart and how I've treated others, not whom I slept with.
