I'm sure some people do, for various reasons, but I would use the word 'alone'. I choose to be alone because I feel comfortable in my own company a lot of the time. If that makes me appear lonely, then that's okay with me, but I don't feel lonely all the time.

It depends on the person, the situation, and their personality, but most people choose not to be lonely, yet others do.

Do you mean lonely, or do you mean being alone.
Being alone is necessary for everyone. If people did not have time to be left alone for their own mental health they'd all be driven crazy due to incessant nagging from others around them all the time.
Humans may be social creatures naturally but I know many people who thrive on being alone (including yours truly).

No, I don't. I think people sometimes choose to be alone due to fear, fear of committment, of allowing people to see them as they really are, but to be lonely? No. To be lonely is more painful then illness or loss.

Well tere are to awnsers for this one.Well some people dont some just dont have friends might be nerds or just shy.But some people are just like that maybe beacause of thier past or maybe are just scared but im sad to say this but some just choose to.

i truely do think some people do.... funny you ask, cause i myself and one of those people (who choose to be lonely)... but i am not miserably lonely.... i think i fear obligation and i dont like that, so i choose to be the way i am... i think the same for others, fear of something helps them make the choice of lonliness.....
