First of all the Kevin Bacon thing is a Hollywood game that you can link all of hollywood movie actors to Kevin Bacon within six people.
The Hollywood movie Six Degrees of Seperation stars Will Smith.

The whole idea behind six degrees of seperation is there are six people between you and every other person. Like if you knew the right six people you could meet Micheal Jordan or the President.

Um, Kevin Bacon wasn't in that movie. You're probably thinking of the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon". "The trivia game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is based on a variation of the concept of the small world phenomenon and states that any actor can be linked, through their film roles, to Kevin Bacon."

THE SIX DEGREES of seperation theory is that all relationships are based on six different levels of people that some where in that chain they are somehow connected to each other, at one point or another at least one or more of these persons paths have crossed or there lives are affected by the people in thier relationships.

Kevin Bacon was not in the movie, 'Six Degrees of Separation'. In it, Will Smith plays a con man who is given accomodation by Donald Sutherland and Stockard Channing after he claims to be Harry Belefonte's son.

There was a game called six degrees of Kevin Bacon around at the same time. In this game you were given the name of an actor and would have to connect him or her with Kevin Bacon within 6 links.

For example, Marlon Brando was in Apocalypse now with Laurence Fishburne, who was in Mystic River with Bacon.

Six Degrees of Separation is a 1993 film based on the John Guare play, starring Stockard Channing, Donald Sutherland and Will Smith. It explores the premise that everyone in the world is connected to everyone else in the world by a chain of only 6 acquaintances (see six degrees of separation).

It means that everyone in the world is related to each other by no more than 6 other people. Each person is one degree, or one level, of separation from the other. For example, Quentin Tarantino is related to Julia Roberts by one degree of seperation because QT directed George Clooney in "Dusk Til Dawn" and Clooney worked with Roberts on "Ocean's 11"

It means that you can make a chain between any two people that is no more than 6 people long.

Like between Me and You,

I know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows you.

That's the idea
