first, buy some murphy's oil soap (or store brand of the same product), add it to a bucket of warm water (about 2 teaspoons) and wipe all the furniture with this mixture. make sure you wring out your cloth often and don't make your cloth really wet, wring it out well..........then let it dry COMPLETLY, and buy some lemon or orange oil, doesn't matter which, you could even use baby oil. apply some oil to a clean, dry soft cloth and rub all over every inch of your furniture, top, bottom, sides. it will take several days for the oil to soak in but not only won't it smell anymore but it will look beautiful!! good luck!

I cleaned the chair with Lowe's equivalent of mineral spirits since they no longer sell it. Then I rubbed it down with minwax wood stain in the same color as chair since it had a few scratches, then dry cloth. All the while I was sitting it in the sunshine outside. When I first acquired the chair and brought it in the house, it made the whole house stink. Now I have the chair in in a bedroom and you cannot even smell it when you walk in the door and the door has been closed. Its a lot of work but well worth it. I also sprinkled carpet fresh on upholstery and vacuumed.

I had the same problem and I just washed the furniture with Pine-sol and used actual lemon wood oil to keep the wood moist. It'll go away it just takes time and lots of fresh air and TLC. The wood oil did the most, in my opinion, did the most to get rid of the smell lb

I inherited my Grandmother's chest of drawers and it was like that too. I tried everything. I finally rolled it outside and took the drawers out and let that sucker get some sun and fresh air. When I brought it back in I put fabric softener sheets in each drawer and closed them for about a week and that took care of it.
Hope it works.

This is one of the best collection of plans I’ve seen: https://tr.im/mMlU6
There is enough variety of projects in here, big and small, intricate and simple, and you can pick out new ones as you progress in your woodworking abilities.
It’s a great feeling knowing you made something by hand. It’s always fun to show off your craftsmanship, and ladies love it too!

Lemon oil will help on the outside.
The best thing for the drawers is cedar blocks, or little cloth bags full of dried lavender. They help soak up the musty smell.
