My roomate and I both have a labtop. we do not know how to turn on the wireles internet. we have a Att&t router do we need cables what do we need??? On my computer it shows it has service but wont let me in internet??

Is the AT&T router a wireless router? Which model?
If it's wireless, you need to configure it and the laptops with the same information. Go to the AT&T web site and search for the model of your router. You should find instructions for setting it up.

What on your computer "shows that you have service"?
You're not giving us enough information here to help you out.
If it really is a wireless router, and your laptops have wireless capability, it should be easy for the laptop to find the router and connect.

Call AT&T tech support. They will walk you thru it. If they won't then call the router manufacturer Tech Support. These things are only easy if you know what you are doing.
