yes, and yes. we use it at the salon/day spa i work at. i have done makeup applications on women of color, and so far the only trouble matching i have had is with very, very dark African American skin, i think because the mineral veil can show on that skin tone a bit too light. otherwise it is fantastic.i was even surprised myself back in August, when we did a location wedding in Texas outdoors in the evening. Super humidity anyone? the makeup lasted all through the 2 hours of photos before the ceremony, and with 1 quick touch up lasted again all through into the night. try it. go to Sephora or bareminerals.com and do a boutique search, and go in and have a professional match you the first time.

Well, I am white first of all so I won't have much input on that part. I know they have colors for very light skin tones to very dark skin tones. But... I have been using Bare Minerals for over one year and I am HOOKED! My husband bought me a starter kit for my birthday because I had seen the commecials and just thought I had to have it. Well I was right. It is truly everything it claims to be. I have very fair, freckled skin that breaks out easily. This makeup covers freckles, blemishes, you name it. And it does it all without being caky or looking like you have a lot of makeup on. It takes a little getting used to it as far as the application. It's very different from regular liquid or cream foundation but you'll get the hang of it. Do yourself a favor and just try it. I promise you will love it. ~Christi

It really is as good as everyone says it is. I've been using it for a few years now and won't go back to anything else. As for women of color, I can't help you there.

I just bout it a couple days ago, it works good but not GREAT, and its kind of hard to do the swirl, tap, buff method. the powder gets everywhere but it does work fairly well. and the skin rev-er upper works good too. i dont know about clearing my skin because ive only used it for 6 days, but its not making me break out, which is good.
