In some cases I am against keeping wild animals as pets in others I do not have a problem. Cats, ferrets and dog were all at one time wild. Where I disagree with keeping wild animals is when there is a threat to native species if a wild animal should escape into the biome and create wild populations (such as Florida with Burmese Pythons). I also am against it when the collection of such wild animals impacts threatened populations in the wild. I think creating captive born population of certain animals can help fight against animal collectors. I am against the keeping of wild animals where it may cause a health risk or threaten public safety. I believe that many wilds should only be kept given that the state has licensed the owner and maintains inspections to insure the proper keeping of the animal. Municipalities should have the right to impose licensing fees and standards by which the animal owner must comply (no small children, proper sheltering of the animal, microchipping, etc.).

i'd desire to contemplate whether you're a troll or have some psychological deficiency to assert that canine or cats are "uncomplicated and boring". What are you some elitist? Animals are not a standing image. a great cat or a undergo isn't a puppy. no rely what you do or say it isn't any longer a puppy. Such animals could be unlawful for somebody to maintain at their homestead. They belong in flora and fauna rescues or professionals. you're no longer a expert. Your neighbor down the line isn't a expert. the wealthy guy for the time of city isn't a expert. there's no clarification for it to be criminal for absolutely everyone who can locate the money for it to easily obtain any animal they please.

If a person is properly licensed they can keep a wild animal and I guess if they're licensed they must know how to handle one and be sure it doesn't attack others.

If they follow all the rules, then I don't mind. I just hate the thought of people having tigers and bobcats and crap around kids that are PRONE to pissing animals off. I don't even let my kids be alone with our cocker spaniel.

Like what kind of wild animals? I've known people to have racoons as pets. I guess i'm not against it as long as they aren't diseased!!! Although I find it creepy that anyone would want a snake.. i'm terrified of them!

Not all of them. It depends on the case if I am "With" or "Against"...

Once my friend dug up a rabbit nest full of six little rabbit kittens, he wanted to keep them as pets, (I was not there, as I would have stopped him), and when he told his mom that he "Found" them she said no, that he wasn't even aloud to touch them, so who took care of them??

Me. I went all out and bought things for them, different cages, food bowls, water bottles AND dishes, bedding, EVERYTHING!!!

When the time came those little bunnies were old enough to leave, it was so heartbreaking letting them go, free, and one of them I so badly wanted to keep, "Pinky", (from the markings we made on the back or their ears so we could tell them apart, his was pink)...but, I finally let "Pinky" go free outside, and one day I saw the little bunny again, but he was HUGE!!!

He still had some of the little mark on his ear...I still miss him...
But as pets, they wouldn't do, wild animals are WILD....are supposed to be free, So, unless it's a case like mine, AGAINST.

Each State has it's own laws on this subject. I live in Iowa and I found a baby raccoon with no mama and I bottle fed it, everyone said they were illegal to have so I did some research on it for my state, and I was able to take him to our vet and get all his shots. He was the best pet I ever have had & an experience I will alway's treasure. Sadly, he is no longer with me.

Yeah i want a wild tiger, wolf and grizzly bear for a pet too, they'll probly rip my head off though so i might just settle for a cat.
