Keeping fit is good, not just for the sake of appearance, but for your general health and wellbeing. And wear cologne, definitely. Nothing better than a nice-smelling guy...mmm....
Actually, no, there is something better - make the girl feel good! Take the time to have a genuine conversation with her, and make her smile. Do that and she'll melt like a tub of ice cream in the sun :) Take a guy in my year level, for example - his friends generally think that he wouldn't be attractive to the girls. When we found that out, we were like "are you KIDDING?! He's probably the hottest guy in the year!"
Well, they were pretty shocked by THAT lol. He's hot because he has such a fantastic smile. He's incredibly genuine, has the social skills to include you in conversations, even just taking the time to stop and have a brief talk or just a hello as you're walking past. He's just a great, all-around person. Now THAT is irresistable.

Smelling bad is a major turn off. Also, have really good hygene habits!

smell good...... wear cologne that smells good ..... helps alot..... its works for me
