Nooooo, bad beginner reptile I have 6 right now but I breed them and have 28 reptiles total I have a lot of experience and they require a lot of maintenance, they are expensive for a begginer too just because they can get sick easily and the vet bills are outrageous. Bearded dragon nothing like it other than them both being reptiles. I LIKE HOW EVERYONE IN HERE ANSWERS THIS QUESTION AND PRETENDS TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT, BUT THEY CAN'T EVEN SPELL CHAMELEON CORRECTLY.

You MEAN Chameleon's?????? or the little anole that are more like a regular lizard? Anyways, I have had 3 Veiled Chameleons and they are NOT a beginner pet. They get stressed very easy and DO NOT like to be held. Also, Chameleons don't change color to blend in with there enviroment. They change based on mood, mating, hunger and tempture. I suggest you first learn how to spell or use spell check before you get ANY animal...

A chamallion is a very high maintance pet. They need constant high humidty levels along with fresh moving air at all times. Most people think that they live better in glass tanks there wrong. They do better in open wire cages with free flowing air.

No a Chameleon is much different then a bearded dragon and they are very difficult to take care of. And in less you have years of herp. experience don't even try odds are it won't be healthy and will die.

I have a bearded dragon too, but i understand that chameleons are more like ornaments than pets they don't like to be handled too much and you have to know alot about them before you buy one.

chamilions are in the level ''Difficult'' because they need the exact temperature and the exact enviroment. Need to feed a limit of crickets a day so you need to take care of crickets too. They dont like to be held and can cause the stress

they are not as friendly as beardeds, most of them do not like to be held...I have a female and she tolerates it but she is still a small baby but we have a sub adult male and he hisses like crazy and goes after me like he is going to bite me....my hubby will be taking him out of the cage when it is time to breed....as for their changing color it is correct that it is dependent on their mood when my male is pissed at me he get black streaks...too funny...basically they are there to look at and feed....good luck I want to breed and care for the beardeds because I think they are the best type of lizards as a pet

I surely have a pair for our canine (Aussie shepherds) Artemus: Artie Jingles: Jiggles or Jiggle-Wiggles (as her total physique shakes as quickly as we puppy her) in the event that they do something somewhat stupid, we call them Dingle-butts.
