long term it damage the engine due to the loss of back pressure
short term you will probly have more horsepower due to the exhaust not beeing restricted. the motor will also be louder without a muffler.

loss of power possible, depends on actual make and model of 2 stroke motor. Most newer loop scavenged motors have a 'pulseback' design were the muffler 'pulses' back the fresh fuel mix that goes out exhaust port toward end of transfer cycle- no muffler means the bit of fresh fuel mix goes out the exhaust port instead of being pulsed/push back into cylinder to be compressed and generate power. some of the older crossflow and deflector designs still around in cheaper small engines- minimal effect when running at most speeds but still good to have at moderate speeds. some outboards with a minimal overlap had open cone exhaust and no muffler as such, some of the small toy engines still use this type of exhaust- a short open cone with a fiberglass 'ring' at end or a simple vented baffle/expansion chamber to keep down some noise.

2 stroke motors rely on the mufflers for backpressure. If you remove the muffler, you must replace it with a restrictor pipe, or you will lose power, and cause your engine to burn up.

it truly is a sturdy idea because on a rotary engine there is oil consistently being injected into the gas intake. i do not ignore that 2 cycle oil is ash loose so there must be no problems with the plugs oxy sensors and ultimately cats. yet it truly is merely me wondering and that i do not favor to be responsible for something that could want to bypass incorrect with my suggestion.. If it change into mine I in all likelihood might want to apply it to lube up the apex seals that could want to run dry on a rotary engine. the former saying that oil is low-cost holds real

Yes back preasure is very important for a 2 stroke

Without proper back pressure it will tend to run very rich. Bad for the engine and the environment! :-)=

Probaly will breathe better since exhaust restriction will be less.
