I see their first hundred hours are on Democratic issues, but they were voted into office because of the war, and about tax cuts, when can I expect to see a vote on IRAQ?

I didn't vote for them. I was just wandering when they plan on voting on it!

No, Longroad that does not make sense. They ran on getting the troops out of Iraq, and now they will not even touch that issue.

DO the Democrats want to get out of IRAQ???

OF COURSE NOT!!

dont forget ...
democrats like Hillary, Kerry, Edwards, Biden and Lieberman
SUPPORTED and VOTED for Bush's Phony War in Iraq ...

they all said they were against Bush's War but voted for it anyway
so it would look good to their voters and on their resumes ...

those phony Democrat hypocritical cowards again will vote
to approve Money Appropriation for the War and will vote
in favor of sending more troops to Iraq.

those liars will give Bush whatever he wants!!!

....

They can't vote on Iraq, the commander in chief is Bush and he is the one that actually makes all plans for the war. Congress does holds the purse strings. So they theoretically could deny food to the troops, body armor to the troops, etc. But of course they don't want to do that and Bush of course knows that...Very tricky....Ultimately, I think they want to try to force him into realizing that he needs to give Iraq up (victory???), but he seems like about the most stubborn politician so it will probably be more difficult than they expect. Yes, and the truth is we probably have contracts signed for the next 2 years at least I'm sure for war related services to provide for food, clothing, gear, and other needs for the troops...I have a feeling that the Democrats are now realizing that it is not as easy to get out of Iraq as they were hoping it might be.

It may take a new President unfortunately which is ridiculous. He never should have been reelected, and I can't imagine why anyone voted for him a 2nd time (he definitely didn't get a vote from me unless it was voter fraud anyway)!

The Democrats do not have the power to tell the Commander in Chief to bring the troops home. All they can do is deny Bush's continuous calls for more and more money for the Iraq war. But to do that would be political suicide, since nobody wants to be the person who voted NOT to support our troops in the field.

So you will see no vote. What you WILL see are investigations into the excuses for the war, the way it's been run, the waste of taxpayer dollars, the lining of Halliburton's pockets, the fraud, the failures, etc. Hopefully, they can eventually EMBARRASS Bush into giving it up. If not, I hope they will at least convince the public that they need to put a Democrat in the White House in 2008 so that HE (or she) can bring the troops home.

unhappy to declare yet i don't think of anybody has a suited plan. it incredibly is taken into consideration one of those mess! i'm helpful many factors of the warfare have been hidden from the Democrats and in all probability they might desire to work out all the recommendations relating Iraq until now a plan could be formed! notwithstanding their critics will assume them to accomplish miracles collectively as overlooking the certainty that the guy who invaded Iraq with none plan and brought about this mess continues to be in ability!

First they must see about that pay increase. Then they have all of the spending programs and taxes to raise, after raising minimum wage. Um, the judiciary system wants a pay increase. They need to reinstate the draft, then talk about Iran. Oh since lawmakers go at a snails pace, 25 years from now.

Leaving is decided by the Commander-in-Chief, the president. Congress can only pressure the president, and they have already agreed not to cut off funds. They are electing to support the troops but not the war. If that makes sense.

Last I checked Halliburton's stock was down almost 10% over the past few weeks alone. It has to do with the fact that we are now in a committment we can't just back out of immediately.

You wont, Democrats are good for that, You have a democrat in the house now that wants to reinstate the draft and add more troops. The democrats do not have the cahoneys to pull out of Iraq, they know they cannot. that would be a political suicide.
